It surely can't get any quieter with just 2 jackdaw, 2 chiffchaff and a sand martin of note today. The 2 whooper swans were still on Garso Loch, 17 sandwich terns in Loch Park and a flock of 55 knot were at Sennes.
"The 1st of October was just as incredible - a large fall with 400 Robins, 38 Redstarts, 230 Song Thrushes, 500 Redwings, 49 Blackcaps, 4 Yellow-browed Warblers, 40 Chiffchaffs, 376 Goldcrests, 46 Chaffinches, 470 Bramblings, and 88 Siskins - and a female Siberian Thrush caught coming into roost with other migrants. There were further falls on 3rd and 4th and scarce migrants that week included Long-tailed Skua, several Richard's Pipits, and Yellow Wagtails, Reed and Barred Warblers, 2 Red-breasted Flycatchers, a Great Grey Shrike, a Rosy Starling, an Ortolan Bunting and 4 Little Buntings."
