12th June
A presumed escape Bar-headed Goose was at Peckhole with Greylags, shortly followed by a group of 17 Canada Goose landing nearby. A Red-necked Phalarope was at Ancum and a Crossbill headed south down the west coast. A Yellow Wagtail was at Gretchen.
13th June
Red-necked Phalarope numbers at Ancum increased to three. A Short-eared Owl was at Westness, and a couple of Swift were seen across the island. The 17 Canada Geese relocated to Greenwall, a Kestrel was at Phisliger. Migrants seemed to arrive later in the day, with a Cuckoo bombing round the obs and our first Pied Flycatcher of the year seen near T3. An evening jaunt to check Ancum and the Willows produced our first Common Tern of the year and a surprise Greenish Warbler that was subsequently trapped and ringed.

14th June
An early morning nets session saw five Crossbill trapped in the same net, with a sixth individual nearby. The rest of the day was a bit of a washout, but still produced a year tick in the form of a Marsh Warbler at Longar.

15th June
Two Common Tern were at Ancum, and a female Blackcap was close by in Ancum Willows.
16th June
The second Marsh Warbler of the year was heard singing in Ancum Willows before being trapped and ringed.

21st June
A Quail was flushed from the rocks by the broch during a coastal Fulmar survey.
23rd June
A Marsh Warbler was heard giving brief snippets of song in Holland, where two Collared Dove were also present.
25th June
The skulky Marsh Warbler in Ancum Willows from 16th gave itself up again by singing, where it was later retrapped to confirm it as the same bird.
26th June
During cruise ship tours a Little Gull was seen at Trolla, much to the delight of the visitors.
27th June
A total of 65 Black-tailed Godwits were on Ancum in the evening, and a Barnacle Goose was at Peckhole.
28th June
A sea watch produced our first two Storm Petrel of the year, accompanied by 31 Manx Shearwater, four Great Skua, eight Arctic Skua, 3341 Auk sp., 490 Kittiwake, 24 Redshank and two Red-throated Diver. Elsewhere a Common Tern was on Gretchen and a smart male Ruff was on Ancum.
29th June
An early morning seawatch produced one Storm Petrel, 19 Manx Shearwater, 779 Fulmar including two 'blue' Fulmar, 1183 Auk sp., 345 Kittiwake, five Arctic Skua, one Great Skua, two Red-throated Diver, and one Great Northern Diver. Elsewhere a Red-necked Phalarope, Common Tern and Ruff were on Ancum.
30th June
A Crossbill flew high north over the Old Kirk, a Barnacle Goose was at Hooking and a Redpoll was at Peckhole.
