A decent morning after a very wet night, calm and overcast with the light wind slowly moving round into the north but becoming strong again by the afternoon bringing more rain through the afternoon; little new was found with the day’s highlights consisting of 3 Ruff at Claypows, the male Lapland Bunting again at Sandar and the drake Green-winged Teal hanging on at Gretchen.   Other totals included 11 Great-northern Divers, 3 Herons, 3 Pink-footed Geese, 5 Pintail, 6 Shoveler, a Goldeneye, 150+ Snipe, 3 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, 290+ Skylarks, 39 Pied Wagtails, 5 Wheatears, a further increase to 47 Redwing, a Chiffchaff, a Goldcrest, a Chaffinch and 2 Snow Buntings.
