A dreadful day with rain and very strong winds blighting the attempts to get out in the field so unsurprisingly the tally for the day was on the small side; birds included 2 Red-throated Divers, a Great-northern Diver, 2 Heron, 247 Wigeon, 2 Red-breasted Mergansers, a Hen Harrier, a Kestrel, a Merlin, a Black-headed Gull, 34 Meadow Pipit, 2 Pied Wagtails, the lingering Whinchat still, a Wheatear, 141 Redwing and 24 Snow Buntings.
