31st May

A light north-westerly wind with the fog occasionally dropping to ground level again, often played havoc with the plane schedule! There wasn't much passerine action again but waders more than made up for it. The 2 Pectoral Sandpipers were together again on Ancum Loch with 2 Curlew Sandpipers new in on Gretchen and the Little Stint still at Bridesness. Increases in commoner species saw 62 Knot and 40 Dunlins logged, while a Black-tailed Godwit was also new. Also of note today were a Barnacle Goose, a Woodpigeon a Black Redstart and 8 Snow Buntings still, while 3 Garden Warblers spread about the Island were the only likely new Warblers-possibly...

Dancing Tystie!!
