14th August
Much of the same I'm afraid apart from a couple of extra additions. Sea-watching gave good numbers, 39 Sooty Shearwater, 10 Manx Shearwater, 14 Storm Petrels and 22 Puffins being the highlights.
Wader numbers are still staying steady and very much as you were, 705 Golden Plovers, 110 Knot, 73 Sanderling, 20 Ruff, 6 Whimbrel and more interestingly a single Common Sandpiper was seen on the rocks at Iris Taing.
Elsewhere there where 2 Little Grebes on Garso, the Grey Heron is still hanging around and will probably do so well into the autumn.
Passerine wise it's still very quiet a single Sand Martin was present at Hooking, the same Chiffchaff is still in Holland as it has been since the spring, the number of Sedge Warblers shows encouraging signs of breeding with a total of 11 birds around the island and last but not least the Redpoll that's been seen regularly is still hanging around in the Ancum area.
