A strong, cold northerly wind dominated the day but it did remain largely dry throughout; a female Red-backed Shrike was the days highlight popping up in a Heligoland trap during the afternoon and was hopefully the forerunner of some more late migrants over the following week!   Other bits included the Whooper Swan, 49 Knot, 20 Bar-tailed Godwit and a Woodpigeon.
