4th May
Still with the same airflow but the optimist in me wants
to say that it was slightly less windy, slightly warmer and with slightly fewer
showers than yesterday; there were a few bits to see around the island as
totals included a Kestrel, a Knot, 83 Sanderling, 143 Purple Sandpipers, a
Woodcock still round the Obs, 2 Sandwich Terns, a Woodpigeon, 2 Robins, 6
Fieldfare, a Song Thrush, 2 Blackcaps, 4 Chiffchaff, a Willow Warbler, a
Goldcrest, 2 Brambling and a Siskin.
Plenty of waders acquiring breeding plumage now like this Sanderling
