Same same again with the very strong, cold SE wind not doing much for migrant arrivals; there was a bit of an increase in non-passerines though with the first 3 Garganey of the year on Hooking – two drakes and a duck, a good total of 53 Tufted Ducks (the highest count of the year so far), 5 Black-tailed Godwits, 7 Lesser Black-backed Gulls including an intermedius-type bird and 8 Sandwich Terns.

                Landbird migrant totals were unimpressive and comprised a Merlin, a Woodpigeon, a Collared Dove, 4 Rock Pipits including a littoralis bird, 22 Robins, 22 Wheatears, a Fieldfare, a Song Thrush, 5 Redwing, 6 Chiffchaff, 8 Goldcrest, a Jackdaw, a Chaffinch, a Common Redpoll and 4 Snow Buntings.
