The garganey family on Gretchen was again seen today but now 4 individuals present, with another juvenile noticed. A minimum of 14 whimbrel were logged and with reasonable coverage of the island wader totals included 253 oystercatcher, 147 lapwing, 109 sanderling, 76 redshank, 67 curlew, 74 dunlin and 17 bar-tailed gowit. The kestrel was seen around Vincoin and a crossbill was at Kirbest.
