30th July
A ruff was at Westness and 4 black-tailed godwit were by the school. 34 knot on Bewan were accompanied by single greenshank, with another 22 knot at Westness. The kestrel remains and a swift was along the West side, with singles of whimbrel at the School and Twingness. An evening seawatch provided little excitement with just a single sooty shearwater and 2 manx shearwater. No sign of the pacific golden plover today.
