The PACIFIC GOLDEN PLOVER still remains, and the kestrel moved to the south of the island. A very early pied flycatcher by the observatory was a nice surprise in the afternoon. Other new migrants included at least 3 green sandpiper, a good island count of 4 greenshank and a swift over the Post Office. A minimum of 5 crossbill were seen at a number of sites, and the fieldfare was near Kirbest. A cory's shearwater reportedly flew west at sea, as did 4 sooty shearwater.
